Microcurrent FAQs

What is Microcurrent?

Microcurrent mirrors the body's own natural currents, triggering chemical reactions at a cellular level to enhance the production of natural collagen and elastin, provide circulatory benefits, and re-educate the muscles of the face.

The result is immediate firming, smoothing, and re-hydration of the skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

What are the different phases included in a microcurrent session?

Cupping: Toxins which can block the filter system leads to congestion and stagnation. The cupping effect causes the movement of lymph fluid which helps to relieve the blockage and congestion. Cupping also helps penetrate product and stimulate blood flow.

Tone: Currents work on a cellular level to help stimulate collagen and elastin production. This phase minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, leaving skin smooth, hydrated, and glowing.

Lift: Mirroring our natural currents, we are able to target the facial muscles. Lifting hooded eyes, jowls, pulling back puppet lines, contouring cheek and jaw areas leaving a sculpted youthful look.

Infusion: High concentrations of peptides and antioxidants are infused into the deeper layers of your skin using nano wave technology. This will increase stimulation of collagen production and the thickening of the dermis leading to visible skin tightening, firming, and renewal.

How long does a treatment take?

Treatments range between 45-60 minutes depending on the areas being treated and the phases being used.

How many treatments are necessary?

This is based on several variables, including personal goals, age, overall skin and muscle conditions. A corrective series of treatments can be 1-2 times a week until goals are reached for optimum results. Once desired results are reached, a preventative program is set - once a month is enough to sustain results.

When will I notice a change?

Most people will see an immediate change in the tone and texture of their skin and tighter muscles. Some clients may like the treatment to maintain their youthful appearance and glow, as others may need a corrective series. After the second treatment the tone of the skin should also be sustaining results between treatments. The remaining treatments in a corrective series will be necessary to continue toning muscles and producing collagen and elastin.

What else should be done in conjunction with the treatments?

Overall results can be enhanced by proper skincare routine at home. Maintenance treatments are essential to keep optimal results. We advise to drink lots of water throughout the remainder of the day after treatments to prevent feeling over-fatigued (we just worked out the muscles of your face) as well as to help flush out the toxins.

Is there any downtime

There is no downtime! Your face may have redness for 15 minutes after the treatment which is due to the blood circulation brought to the face - this is good! The microcurrent effects continue for 72 hours after you're done, stimulating collagen and elastin!

Am I an ideal candidate for microcurrent?
